Adults: $10.00 ($7.00 -with purchase of a 2011 membership) Children 12 and under: $5.00  

Entering the Cook-off:
Make a 5 quart crock pot of chili using local ingredients (if possible)
We encourage you to source ingredients from Minto Farmers’ Market vendors (See list provided)
Registration deadline: February 18, 2011

2^nd place- $75     
3^rd place- $50     
Peoples Choice- $50

2010 season over, Savour the Flavours of Minto coming up

The 2010 market season has officially ended. We will be holding a local food event in conjunction with the Harriston and Palmerston fairboards and the Minto Chamber of Commerce. The event will be held on Oct. 14 at the Palmerston Community Centre Auditorium. Doors open at 5:30. The night will feature samples of the best local foods the Minto area has to offer, at booths of local producers and vendors. Anita Stewart will be speaking at the event. Anita is an author of various books on cooking and creating local sustainability in the industry.

Pumpkin Festival

Tomorrow will be our pumpkin festival and our last market of the 2010 season. Below is a list of some of the products we will have available.

Supper at the Market cancelled

Due to a poor weather forecast, we have to cancel the Supper at the Market scheduled for Friday.

As part of Culture Days, we will still be having free samples of various local foods, and our regular market from 3-7pm.

We will also have Supper at the Market tickets available

Supper at the Market

On September 24 from 5 to 7, there will be a full supper available at the market. Tickets must be purchased in advance, and can be purchased at the market, from our vendors, from our board members or over the phone. The meal will feature food from our various vendors. In addtion, there will be live music from Juanita Wilkins www.juanitawilkins.com and cooking demonstrations.

Tickets are $10 with the purchase of a 2011 membership or $12 without for Adults. Children 5-12 are $6, and under 5 are free.

Come enjoy a night of enjoying local food and getting preparation tips from vendors.

The meal, cooking and music will all happen at the market site in Clifford as our regular market is taking place.
